Trinity County 4-H Council
What is 4-H Council?
Sometimes called a “Leader’s Council” or “Volunteer Management Organization”, this volunteer body consists of elected officers and all active membership within the county. Together, the officers and membership assist the 4-H Program Representative and the local Cooperative Extension Office in planning, promoting, and executing the work of the 4-H Youth Development Program. This work includes training, management of council finances, review and implementation of policy, as well as planning and organization of countywide 4-H events.
All currently appointed volunteers and senior members are granted voting rights, and are encouraged to attend regular council meetings. The Council currently meets six times a year in August, October, December, February, April, and June.
